Asana Room moving

The Asana Room offers ongoing classes, workshops and intensives to promote the health and well-being of the yoga student.

The Asana Room offers ongoing classes, workshops and intensives to promote the health and well-being of the yoga student.

Currently located in the heart of Cumberland, the Asana Room is moving to a larger space in Tin Town in Courtenay this fall, continuing its service to all communities of the Comox Valley.

Co-founded by certified YogaWorks instructors Catherine Munro and Alistair Logan, the Asana Room has created a sanctuary for the learning and practice of yoga.

Servicing communities within the Comox Valley for three years, the Asana Room’s highly trained and dedicated instructors provide first-rate classes for all levels.

Beginning this Sept. 12, all classes, workshops, intensives and teacher training will be held in Tin Town at 2440B Rosewall Cres.

An open house will be held at the new location on Sept.10. Everyone in attendance will receive a 10-per-cent discount on all passes.

The last class held at the Cumberland studio will be on June 25, and the fall schedule will be posted on the website (http://www.theasanaroom.com/) and Facebook by August.

Based on the Krishnamacharya lineage of teaching, our classes blend the Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions, combining dynamic movement with attention to alignment.

Different class levels address and accommodate a range of student experience.

Each class is designed to stimulate range of motion, expand breath and energy potential and reduce stress.

Options are given to address varying student levels.

The Asana Room proudly hosts yoga workshops led by master instructors.

Private sessions are scheduled on a weekly or monthly basis. Please contact us by e-mail for rates and available times.

The Asana Room is pleased to partner with YogaWorks for a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified training course

starting this September that will run two weekends per month until February 2012.

Training will be led by certified YogaWorks teacher Catherine Munro. Details can be found on the website, or e-mail Catherine for more information.

Information about classes, workshops, teacher training and the move can be found on the website at http://www.theasanaroom.com/ and on Facebook. You can also e-mail theasanaroom@gmail.com.
