Building Links, a North Island construction report, is celebrating its 19th anniversary this week, publishing its 950th edition on May 16. In its current form, Building Links is a subscription email newsletter that publishes 50 times a year, offering news and information about the construction industry on Northern Vancouver Island. Publisher Clarice Coty started the publication May 17, 1993. An industry survey identified a need among businesses from the Vancouver Island construction industry for their own source of local, up-to-date news about development permits, building permits, tenders, and quarterly and annual construction statistics. The Building Links website features a blog that offers weekly updates. In addition, the RealEstateAndConstruction.ca blog features daily updates from across Vancouver Island.
