The Comox Valley Home Based Business Association is one of the Valley’s longest-running networking groups. Established in 1998, the CVHBBA was set up to help small and home-based business entrepreneurs with a place to get together with others facing similar challenges and triumphs. Since its humble beginnings it has grown, at times, to over 100 members. The CVHBBA prides itself on being friendly and inclusive to all small business, whether you work from home or a store front.

Meetings occur once a month on the first Thursday at 5:30 p.m./, in the Anco Inn boardroom, from September to June. Meetings this year will include guest speakers, spotlight member speakers, and several educational workshops. We also host a community market the last Sunday of each month 10 a.m -3 p.m. in the Little Red Church Hall; proceeds from the hall rental are donated to a new charity each year. Last year we provided the CV Head Injury Society with $365.

To kick off our 20th Anniversary and to meet the new board of directors (Lori Ball/president and marketing; Janet Martyn/past president and secretary; Jennifer Queenan/vice-president and programming and Maria Dann/treasurer) we will be hosting a wine and cheese event on Sept 6 at 5:30. Please join us and see what small business looks like in the valley.
