The Comox Valley Home-Based Business Association hosts its monthly meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. at The Best Western on Cliffe Avenue.
The keynote speaker is Biz Works owner Helen Furgale, a small business development specialist. Her presentation will focus on writing a business plan. Before starting her own firm, Furgale managed the business futures program at Community Futures Strathcona.
The member spotlight will feature Angela Zumbo, a mortgage professional with The Mortgage Centre Comox Valley who specializes in residential mortgages for home owners.
There is no charge for the meeting. CVHBBA membership is open to all small and home-based businesses. Dues are $75 per year.
