There are still plenty of lovely gifts available at Santa’s Workshop, which has appointments available until Dec. 22.

The traditional holiday initiative brings gifts to children in need in the Comox Valley. Santa’s “elves” receive, repair and restore donated, gently used toys and then redistribute them to families, ensuring children have something to unwrap on Christmas Day.

Thanks to the generosity of Galaxy Motors, which is not charging rent, the workshop is operating out of the former site of the Finneron Hyundai car dealership at 250 Old Island Highway.

To book an appointment, call the workshop at 250-897-0098. It’s open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Grandparents Day is Thursday, Dec. 16.
