If you’re going to dance, do it to music you like!

Dancing is a great way to get out, have fun, get some exercise and leave your problems behind. West Coast swing is one of the most versatile partner dances in existence because it can be danced to a wide variety of music including swing, blues, pop, county & western, even hip hop. This means you can dance anywhere there is music including bars and lounges plus our weekly dances at the lower Elks on Wednesdays.

Interested in giving it a try?

You’re in luck. Beginner West Coast swing lessons are starting Sept. 18, for six weeks, each Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. at the Courtenay Elk’s lower hall, with open dancing following. Pre-registration is required; go to www.cvwcs.ca for information and registration, or contact the Comox Valley West Coast Swing Collective at: cvwcsinfo@gmail.com.
