Experienced and new gardeners alike, are you ready for one of the liveliest presentations you will enjoy, all about bulbs?

Pull up a chair in your own home and Zoom into this image-rich, informative and fun evening at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, as the Comox Valley Horticultural Society welcomes Botanus as its presenters.

Ten years ago, three entrepreneurial ladies started a small garden-related mail-order company, named Botanus. Their dream was to make a difference in the Canadian gardening world with the goal of getting people excited about gardening by providing top-notch plants and outstanding in-person and on-line service. Not only have they achieved that goal, but continue to grow their business along with the hundreds of thousands of plants they have sent out to happy gardeners across Canada.

With their business now thriving, you can stay connected with this group through Facebook, Instagram, countless informative presentations on YouTube, Pinterest or by becoming a member of the Botanus Garden Club.

“Drawing from years of collective experience and a sincere desire to inspire a love of gardening, the ladies of Botanus are delighting audiences throughout the country, including many large gardening shows including Canada Blooms and BC Home and Garden.,” said CVHS member Cheryl Fink, in a press release. “We are excited to have Pam and Elke as our presenters as they take us on a ‘bulbs journey,’ from the fields of Holland to our doorsteps.”

This image-rich presentation is not only informative but fun and engaging to watch and is guaranteed to appeal to a wide range of gardeners. There will also be the opportunity to ‘talk dirt’ with these experts after the show and share gardening experiences.

Advanced registration is required for both members and non-members. Current members will receive a separate Zoom invitation. Registration for non-members ($5.50) is simple - visit www.comoxvalleyhortsociety.ca by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, as it requires a couple of days to process.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Monday, Sept. 20, 7 p.m., when CVHS will host a Zoom presentation from Leslie Cox on the good, the bad and the downright pesky insects in our gardens.
