Bowser Seniors Housing Society to build supportive housing

The Bowser Seniors Housing Society intends to build independent‐supportive seniors housing close to Magnolia Court.

The Bowser Seniors Housing Society intends to build independent‐supportive seniors housing close to Magnolia Court.

They are first analyzing the need for seniors housing in the area. The analysis is necessary because it will support (or reject) an assumption that seniors who live in rural areas would like to remain in their communities when they reach the point where they must move out of their own houses.

The society wants to find out if there is a need for an independent‐supportive seniors’ housing facility to be located in Bowser, or not.

If you live in Lighthouse Country (from Horne Lake and Qualicum Bay to Deep Bay) or in the Fanny Bay and Buckley Bay area, and are over 50, please complete the seniors’ housing survey available in the community.

If you have access to a computer, complete the survey online — follow the link on the society’s website at www.bshs.ca.

The survey deadline is Sept. 30.

CitySpaces Consulting Ltd. is co-ordinating the survey and preparing the needs assessment.
