A watermain replacement project on Willemar Avenue from 17th to 21st Streets starts Tuesday, July 3. The project is estimated to be complete in mid-September. The contractor will be on site starting Tuesday, July 3 performing preliminary layout work. Underground construction is planned to start the week of July 9.
The work will result in intermittent single-lane closures with alternating traffic during some of the construction. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists within the work area.
Work will typically take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Residents have been notified that access to their property may be restricted at times as well as the possibility of intermittent disruptions to water service. The contractor will make every attempt to notify residents in advance of access and parking matters affecting individual properties.
