CivilDisobedience Workshop Sunday

What are my civil rights?

If you have questions like that, you now have an opportunity to get some answers.

You can register to come to a CivilDisobedience Workshop June 5 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. in the Tsolum Building in Lewis Park.

There is limited space, so pre-registration is required.

This workshop is being organized by the Council of Canadians Comox Valley Chapter.

Harjap Grewal, the BC-Yukon Council of Canadians regional organizer, will be the trainer. He is well versed in the Do's and Don'ts of protesting.

Often, we want to support a struggle but don't know what we should or shouldn't do.

We want to be "obedient" and we want to be "civil," but we don't always know the laws and we don't want to be part of a disorderly crowd.

This workshop will teach you how we can prevent problems while we try to make our points to governments and corporations.

To register, call 250-336-8429 or 250-338-6265.
