YOU'D BETTER BE ready to meet some unearthly spirits in the Cumberland Museum's annual Haunted Coal Mine

Looking for some super spooky fun this Halloween?

There is no better destination than the historic Village of Cumberland and the Cumberland Museum's annual Haunted Coal Mine, opening this Saturday, Oct. 26.

The basement of the Cumberland Museum is scary enough on a normal day.

A walk through the replica coal mine gives you a real sense of the horrid working conditions of miners who toiled deep underground. You can almost hear the sound of creaking timbers, crackling gas and scurrying rats.

But this week the Cumberland Museum takes scary to a whole new level. Visitors are invited to descend down the steep dark stairs into halls and passage ways of terror and trickery.

Get ready for ancient apparitions, spirits, spiders, bats, rats, ghostly forces and other spooky surprises!

The Cumberland Museum Haunted Coal Mine is a thrill for kids and grownups. Parents are requested to accompany kids under 10.

The Cumberland Museum Haunted Coal Mine runs from Oct. 26 till the Day of the Dead on Nov. 1. The Museum is open Sunday and closed Monday. Admission is by donation.
