Comox Community Centre hosts Spring Fling for YANA

The Comox Community Centre is hosting a You Are Not Alone (YANA) fundraiser to paint the centre the colours of spring. We’ve inked the outlines of spring scenes like a giant coloring book across the building’s windows. You and your family can bring those scenes to life. All you need is the inspiration. We’ll supply everything else.

Register your family for a 90 minute exclusive timeslot on Tuesday March 23, Wednesday March 24 or Saturday, March 27. Child friendly and washable paint, paint brushes, cleaning supplies and drop sheet will be provided at check-in. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. When you return the painting kit to reception, you’ll receive a take home Easter goodie bag.

“It is great to see the Comox Community Centre and YANA pivot due to COVID to offer this unique Easter fundraiser in replace of the popular Eggstravaganza event that is typically held in Marina Park each year,” Comox Mayor Russ Arnott said. “YANA plays an important role in the community, and we encourage Comox families to register and celebrate the season together at this Spring Fling, while supporting an excellent cause.”

Registration is by donation, starting at $10. Tax receipts are available for donations over $20. All money raised supports YANA.

Register for your timeslot at www.comox.ca and click the YANA event hyperlink.

Strict COVID-19 protocols are in place.
