Two upcoming open houses offer an opportunity for the public to learn more about how CSWM manages solid waste across the Comox Valley and Strathcona Regional Districts. The open houses will provide insight into everything from landfills and recycling depots to how CSWM manages greenhouse gas emissions and protects groundwater at the landfill.
“We’ve heard from over 1,000 people this summer and have been encouraged by the high level of interest in how we manage garbage, recycling and compost across the Comox Valley and Strathcona Regional Districts,” noted Vivian Schau, Senior Manager of Solid Waste Services. “The upcoming open houses are yet another opportunity for folks to learn more about how we currently manage waste and to hear their feedback about our draft goals and guiding principles for the next ten years.”
