Comox Valley Citizen Voice holding first open house Sunday

The Comox Valley Citizen Voice is holding its first open house this Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Florence Filberg Centre.

The Comox Valley Citizen Voice welcomes the citizens of Comox Valley to its first open house.

It will be held this Sunday at the Seniors Lounge in Courtenay’s Florence Filberg Centre, starting at 2 p.m.

The Comox Valley Citizen Voice will report on the results of the 600 or so surveys it has gotten so far.

A preliminary report on council report cards will also be given and a discussion of future plans for workshops on local governance.

“We have noted the great interest shown in the public hearings for the Regional Growth Strategy and the many candidates in the last two by-elections,” stated Angela Burns of the CVP. “However, the turnouts for those byelections was still dismayingly low. So there is work to be done and we at the CVP, along with other organizations in the Valley, will be doing our part to do that work.”
