Where can men go when they are seeking a non-judgmental forum to deal with the pressures of everyday life?
Three years ago, in recognition of a gap in services for men, Comox Valley Transition Society started a Men’s Group that continues to be a place where men can talk about those pressures.
The Men’s Group is a free drop-in group and is facilitated by two experienced counsellors who support men in respectfully managing the challenges they face in their relationships with others (partners, ex-partners), their relationships with work (job stress, balancing work and family needs), and their relationships with themselves (self-criticism, discouragement).
No referral is necessary; just a desire for positive change. Confidentiality is respected.
Men’s Group meets on Monday evenings from 7 – 8:30 at the Transition Society office, 625 England Ave. For more information call 250-897-0511.
