For the 17th consecutive year, the Comox Valley Relay for Life will take place at the Vanier track.

The event happens Saturday, June 15, with one significant change. This year, the Relay For Life will run from 4 p.m. to midnight.

The theme this year is Hawaiian, so bring your favourite Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, and surfboards. There will be music, prizes, a draw for two tickets anywhere WestJet flies, fun activities, food from the Phat Parrot trailer, a head shave, and a festival atmosphere.

LETTER - Relay for Life participant reflect upon the experience

There will be dinner for the Valley’s cancer survivors, provided by Thrifty Foods.

The cancer survivors will also have the honour of walking the first lap. Over 400 team members participate in 40+ teams, raising money that will be kept on the island to aid families battling cancer.

On Thursday, May 9, from 5-9 p.m. Prime Chop House is hosting our Relay kick-off event with dinner and drinks and 50-50 draws. Come out and show your support for this wonderful community event.
