Comox Valley Schools is seeking information from all school communities about how the education experience has been since September 2020.

The purpose of the voluntary survey is to seek feedback to better understand how well the school system has responded to support students, parents and staff during the pandemic.

COVID-19 has significantly impacted this community and the world we live and work in. Schools are vital to help ensure re-opening of communities, the economy and to provide structure and stability during emergent times. Information from the survey will be shared with the district’s educational community and will help it reflect on the past year and guide planning for September 2021. The student portion of the survey is designed for students in grades 8 to 12.

Elementary data will be collected from the Provincial Student Learning Survey, which is being completed in schools. The survey takes approximately five to 10 minutes to complete, although it will take longer depending on whether the participant has more than one role in the district (for example, staff and parent).

All responses to the brief survey are anonymous. To access the survey, go to the 2021 School Year Survey link at https://bit.ly/39DY7UQ. The survey opens Feb. 2 and closes Feb. 18 at 4 p.m.
