The Vancouver Island Regional Library has announced that the Courtenay Library is to undergo a $1.5 million renovation.
The aim is to have more open spaces for activities and programming, rather than a traditional set-up.
Predesign work has started.
“We are still in the very early stages of planning but we will keep the public apprised as this project takes shape,” said David Carson, VIRL’s director of corporate communications and strategic initiatives. “There will also be opportunities for public feedback at a later stage.”
