Saasha Gillis, a 14-year-old Mark Isfeld student, has recently returned from the performing arts provincials in Chilliwack where she represented the North Island Festival of the Performing Arts.
There, she received Honorable Mention in both Junior A Piano and Junior Canadian Piano. Each regional festival in B.C. sends its most promising young artists to attend the five-day event which encompasses competitions, adjudications, workshops and concerts. Gillis studies piano with Shelley Roberts.
