Eco-adventure documentary screens in Cumberland

The Comox Valley chapter of the Council of Canadians screens the eco-adventure documentary On the Line.

The Comox Valley chapter of the Council of Canadians invites you to come watch a screening of the international award-winning eco-adventure documentary On the Line.

Follow Frank Wolf and Todd McGowen on their self-propelled 2,000-kilometre journey tracking the route of the proposed Enbridge pipeline.

Starting at the tar sands and crossing over 700 pristine watersheds, they cover the entire route by foot, raft, bike and kayak to Hartley Bay at the mouth of the Douglas Channel.

Through the voices of the people they meet along the way and amazing photography, Todd and Frank introduce the world to this rare intact wilderness. As one review states, "This film brings into sharp focus the people and lands that would be affected if Enbridge gets the go-ahead."

This timely film will be screened this Thursday at the Cumberland United Church at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30. Discussion and refreshments will follow the screening.
