Courtenay Recreation and Comox Valley Arts are celebrating Family Day creatively this year through a free Art Basket Challenge with great prizes.
The first 200 families that register in advance for the challenge will receive one free basket with art materials created by Comox Valley Arts. Register by Thursday, Feb. 11 at midnight. Basket pick-up will be Wednesday to Friday, Feb. 10–12, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Lewis Centre, 489 Old Island Highway.
Alternate pick-up arrangements may be possible on request.
On Family Day, Monday, Feb. 15, families are encouraged to enter a random prize draw by posting a photo of your artwork on the city’s Family Day Facebook event (bit.ly/3aGyFNw) or by email to lewis@courtenay.ca. All links and event details are posted at www.courtenay.ca/familyday
Everyone is welcome to post family artwork. You don’t need one of the free art baskets to enter the draw.
You could also win one of five $50 gift certificates from local arts organizations.
