Fine-tune focus with labyrinth

Labyrinths have existed in various forms all over the world for at least 4,000 years.

Labyrinths have existed in various forms all over the world for at least 4,000 years.

The Hopi, Druids, Hindus and Buddhists each have their own variation of this sacred circle of transformation. Although they may sometimes seem confusing, labyrinths are mazes, and they easily guide your footsteps from beginning to end.

Winds of Change is bringing a special “portable” labyrinth to the Native Sons Hall in Courtenay on Feb. 13. Constructed of copper and quartz sceptre crystals, this labyrinth also provides the opportunity to experience sound with the crystal bowls as you walk through.

Quartz crystals are believed to help you to focus your own thoughts and enhance the good energy within you, which is why they are exceptionally useful in the labyrinth experience.

All labyrinths have the ability to help you to fine-tune your personal inner focus. This one, set on the day before Valentine’s Day, is also intended to help you connect with transformational love.

There are two options — a full day from 1 to 8:30 p.m. or an evening experience from 6:30 to 8:30.
