Fire departments from the Comox Valley paid a visit to the hospital Friday to say thanks to health care workers.
A lengthy procession of fire trucks and first responder vehicles drove slowly along Lerwick Road, with flasher and sirens going, as a salute at the Comox Valley campus of the North Island hospital. At least 15 vehicles were viewable in the short online video.
It’s just one of the ways in which people have been providing moral support recently for health care workers in the fight against COVID-19.

The City of Courtenay posted the video on its Facebook page, and it has already attracted several shares. One person commented she got “goosebumps” watching it, adding it was important to lift everyone’s spirits, while another person added the firefighters deserve a salute too.
