Free lights, reflectors

The CV Accessibility Committee is helping to distribute free lights for cyclists and reflectors for pedestrians.

It’s dark outside!

To help make people more visible, the CV Accessibility Committee is helping to distribute free lights for cyclists and reflectors for pedestrians to low-income individuals and families in the Comox Valley.

This includes distributing to individuals using scooters and/or wheelchairs who could benefit from these free lights or reflectors.

The CV Accessibility Committee thanks the Comox Valley Cycling Task Force and the Comox Valley Cycling Coalition for their work in obtaining these lights and reflectors to distribute, and for also thinking of people with disabilities who use wheelchairs and scooters to get around.

A representative from the CV Cycling Coalition will be at the Lewis Centre on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 2 p.m. to distribute lights and reflectors and to give tips on how to use them.

Book your space by calling the Lewis Centre at 250-338-5371 or e-mailing Heather at hcrites@courtenay.ca.

Please pass this information on to anyone with a disability whom you think could benefit from this very worthwhile free program.

For more information, call the CV Accessibility Committee — Heather at 250-338-5371 or Marg at 250-338-6316.
