Fuzz and Friends will be stepping behind the microphone at the Mex Pub Tuesday, June 4 for the next 1st Tuesday Fundraiser.
Brian “Fuzz” Morissette along with Glenn Gark and Bruce and Judy Wing will be playing and raising money for the Comox Valley Child Development Association.
Fuzz performed at the CVCDA’s first telethon 44 years ago and has continued his involvement every year since.
“The organization has been near and dear to my heart ever since I moved here,” he said, adding that his involvement has spanned from performing to helping with the TV broadcast or audio equipment.
Pam Crowe, president of the CVCDA, says he is their longest volunteer and without people like the Fuzz, the association would not be able to do the work it does.
“Brian exemplifies community spirit and volunteerism at its best and we are so grateful for his support of the years,” she said.
Fuzz and Friends will be performing covers of country songs, as well as some originals by the Fuzz and other local musicians.
The Fuzz says he doesn’t have a monetary goal in mind but is hopeful for a good turn out.
“Whatever people feel like giving, anything’s appreciated.”
The evening starts at 7:30 p.m. and guests are also welcome to bring a food bank donation.
