Get your dog washed for MARS

On Sunday, Dec. 13,  the Comox United Church Youth Group will be at the Shamrock Veterinary Clinic in Comox, with tubs of water and soap to provide dog washing services, in a fundraising effort for the Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society.

MARS founder, Maj Birch, who was a friend of a youth group member, passed away last month. To honour her passion for wildlife, the youth group hopes to raise at least $500 to help MARS build a new wildlife centre.

The dog wash fundraiser will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13 at Shamrock Veterinary, 1896 Guthrie Road, Comox.  All breeds welcome. Phone 250-339-9876 to book a time or just show up.
