Gnarly Little Craft Fair goes Dec. 1

Come see the great stuff youth are making and selling.

Tackle your Christmas shopping Saturday, Dec. 1 at the 10th annual Gnarly Little Christmas Craft Fair. Courtenay Recreation’s LINC Youth Centre is hosting the fair at the Lewis Centre from 11 am – 3 pm.

Each year, the craft fair showcases talented youth aged nine-19 years. Over 30 vendors will be selling their wares including baking, art, crafts, woodwork, jewelry, stocking stuffers and more.

“The youth bring an impressive amount of skill and creativity to the fair; a lot of youth return each year and get better and better. It’s wonderful to be able to provide them a venue,” says Alexis Forbes, youth services coordinator at The LINC. “It’s great to see them getting excited about what they are bringing and selling, and learning entrepreneurial skills in the process. I’m looking forward to finding some great holiday gifts.”

Make The Gnarly Little Craft Fair a destination during your holiday shopping. If you have children, time your craft fair visit with the Children’s Christmas Party (ages nine and under) from 2-3:30 pm at the Lewis Centre, featuring Captain Thunderpants, and of course, Santa.

For more information, or to register a table (ages 9-19 years), call the Courtenay Recreation Lewis Centre at 250-338-5371.
