Sgt. Jared Heavener placed first at the 386 (Komox) Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets annual effective speaking competition recently.

Sgt. Andrew Jutte, Sgt. Tristan Avery and Sgt. Daniel Watkins placed second through fourth.

Two Cadets went on to the Vancouver Island Effective Speaking Competition on March 24 to compete against other cadets from Vancouver Island. Avery placed third.

Angela Kroemer from the Comox Valley Toastmasters Club 3984 did a super job organizing the effective speaking program this year and preparing the competitors.
