The Kiwanis Club of Courtenay has been a sponsor of the RCMP Boot Camp for many years. The week-long camp runs in the early spring and provides 60 young people a great opportunity to experience the workings of the RCMP.
The camp runs at HMCS Quadra and is entirely supported by volunteer contributions.
The club is providing an opportunity to support these young people by organizing a Kiwanis Trivia Night. It will be held at St. George’s United Church in Courtenay on Feb. 25.
Doors open at 6 p.m. The evening will begin at 6:30 with a chili meal followed by the trivia competition.
All funds raised will go to support the camp. There will be prizes, draws, nibbles and goodies for sale.
