L’Arche Comox Valley Art of Belonging Project to host public exhibit

L’Arche Comox Valley is celebrating its fourth annual Art of Belonging project.

The Art of Belonging program celebrates creativity, belonging and community. Through February and March, participants have been working together to create works of art, guided by visiting artist Dean Bauche. This year’s title is “Everything Belongs.”

Using materials we might normally dismiss or discard, Bauche has helped us to find new and creative ways of seeing, leading participants to create fantastic creatures.

The public is invited to view these creations and to celebrate art, creativity and community with L’Arch Comox Valley on March 23, 7 p.m. at Christ the King church in Courtenay. At L’Arche, people with and without intellectual disabilities work, learn and laugh together. For more information, call 250-334-8320.
