A magnificent 16-foot cedar-strip canoe donated to L’Arche Comox Valley is being raffled at $20 a ticket.
Built by a local master woodworker, its carry weight is 66 pounds, with a capacity for two people and up to 450 pounds of cargo.
There are only 250 tickets to be sold. They can be purchased at Blue Heron in Comox, the I-Hos Gallery on Dyke Road, and at the I Belong Centre at 1465 Grieve Ave. in Courtenay.
Laughing Oyster will have them available after Jan. 1.
The canoe will be displayed Saturday and Sunday at the Fiesta World Craft Bazaar in the Florence Filberg Centre. Tickets will be available for sale there.
