Norm Lundie thought he was celebrating his 84th birthday over dinner with his niece and a friend. But when he arrived at the restaurant, he was greeted by some Lions Club friends who made a special presentation.

The Black Creek Lions Club presented Lundie with an appreciation plaque to honour his dedication and community work.

Bearing the Lions International logo, the plaque reads: ‘For a guy who has never wanted to be in the limelight, but has always been an integral part of every Lions project in the Comox Valley.’

Variety - the Children’s Charity also thanked Lundie for his generosity with a certificate of appreciation. A donation from Lundie helped launch a Variety Sunshine Coach that will provide access to education for children at the Cridge Centre for the Family. The non-profit centre is located in Victoria.
