On Sunday, Nov. 5, these wonderful, dedicated volunteers from the Baynes Sound Lions are once again ready to start their annual walk for the kids. Starting from Fanny Bay, the Lions will wheel their now famous wheelbarrow all the way to the Sid Williams Theatre in Courtenay, all to raise funds for the 42nd Annual Child Development Association Telethon. The Telethon will air live on Shaw TV Channel 4 from noon to 8 p.m. All money raised stays right here in the Comox Valley and supports children with special needs and their families. The Child Development Association is located at the corner of Third Street and Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay and last year served 850 children with special needs.
