The new Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society (MARS) visitor centre in Merville has some great champions at Cumberland’s Euphoria Nature Preschool and Before & After School Child Care. Euphoria has visited the centre several times with various age groups and the kids have been busy raising funds to support the wildlife rescue group’s work. They recently supplied trees for the animal pens and during their most recent visit presented the centre with a cheque for $115, bringing their recent funding support to $239.

Asked why he wants to help MARS, young Josh commented “they help injured animals…I’m happy they release birds back into the wild. I love this place!”
