De-clutter your fabric shelves, consolidate your knitting supplies and support sub-Saharan African communities at the same time.

You can feel good about donating your extra supplies for a great cause. The Merville Grand Mothers will be holding their fifth Fabulous Fabric Sale in October to raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers’ Campaign. All proceeds from the fabric sale will go to grassroots organizations that assist African grandmothers caring for their orphaned grandchildren.

Quality fabric (one metre or longer unless it is quilting cotton or exceptional pieces), knitting and sewing supplies can be dropped off at The Potters’ Place (180 5th St. Courtenay) Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thanks to our local potters for this support.

For more information, contact Anne at 250-338-1168 or Sandy at 250-337-8125.
