Molstad, Alcock retain board seats

Two Union Bay landowners acclaimed to UBID board.

The two local landowners who submitted their nomination papers prior to the March 21 nomination deadline have been declared elected by acclamation, confirms Kevin Douville, the Union Bay Improvement District’s chief returning officer and administrator.

Carol Molstad, incumbent and current chair of the board of trustees, along with incumbent Anne Alcock will each serve a further three-year term and rejoin trustees Bruce Livesey, Alan Webb and Marie Gaudreau on the board.

All landowners in Union Bay are therefore advised the advance poll opportunity March 31 is cancelled, as is the election portion of UBID’s AGM on April 12.

The AGM, in the downstairs gymnasium at the UBID offices (former Union Bay Elementary School), will formally start at 2 p.m., with landowners encouraged to arrive between 1 and 2 to sign in.
