North Island College hosted a High School Open House Thursday at the Comox Valley campus.
The event drew about 1,000 Grade 11 students from 15 high schools in the North Island. It was an important day for students and parents as they begin to plan for life after high school.
To help answer questions, NIC staff organized a jam-packed day of activities, prizes and information. Guests could meet instructors, talk to students and explore post-secondary options.
Highlights included a session on fake news, tours of trades facilities, culinary arts and The Magic of Chemistry.
