Guys with chainsaws, dogs going for dips and musical talent.

That’s just some of what’s coming up over the next few days at the 147th installment of the Comox Valley Exhibition.

The event, which celebrates agriculture in the community, starts Friday and runs through Sunday.

“You can milk a goat, race a zucchini and watch the many farm animal shows,” as the CVEX website says.

Featured acts include favourites like the Laughing Loggers Show and master chainsaw carver Ryan Cook.

The KidZone is back for 2021, and that means Travis the Magician, the petting zoo, fishing pond and more. There’s the antique machinery and agricultural exhibits, a car show, the home & garden and quilt show, photo contest and acts through the weekend. The Mainstage features Coast to Coast, Cafe Ole, Steve Elliott, Larry Ayre Trio and Luke Blu Duo, to name a few.

Check the Cups for Cancer schedule, and — leapin’ Labradors — don’t forget the West Central Waterdogs.
