This rainbow nearly lands right atop the Appletree In west Courtenay. Michael Appleton posted the photo to the Comox Valley Record’s Facebook page. I wonder if anyone was buying lottery tickets at the time?

There’s something magical about capturing a photo of a rainbow.

Courtenay resident Susan Osso submitted a couple of photos of a rainbow crossing the Courtenay-Comox estuary after an afternoon shower Monday, May 4.

“Indeed there is gold at the end of the rainbow and it’s called the Comox Valley!” she said.

Soon after the photos were published, more were submitted. We’ve expanded the photo gallery.

If you have a rainbow photo from Monday to share, send it to editor@comoxvalleyrecord.com
