Fisher-Smith & Associates of Royal LePage in the Comox Valley have announced a public skate by donation on Nov. 17 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Comox Valley Sports Centre. This event invites the community to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon on the ice while supporting a worthy cause.

Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or cash donations, which will directly benefit the "Sharing The Christmas Spirit" hamper program. This initiative provides essential support to families in need throughout the holiday season.

"We believe in giving back to our community, especially during the holiday season," said Mike Fisher, co-founder of Fisher-Smith & Associates. "This skate is a great opportunity for families to come together, enjoy time on the rink, and contribute to a cause that helps make the holidays brighter for those who may be struggling."

Whether you're an experienced skater or a beginner, this event welcomes everyone to lace up their skates and join in the fun. The event will take place at the Comox Valley Sports Centre, located at 3001 Vanier Dr, Courtenay (Rink  2).

Hotdogs and/or selected beverages will be available by donation while they last.

Donations collected at the event will be distributed through the "Sharing The Christmas Spirit" program, a local initiative spearheaded by the Staff of Royal LePage in the Comox Valley. This program has been successfully operating for 35 years and has consistently made a positive impact on families in the Comox Valley.
