Island Health workers were greeted to a pleasant surprise when they arrived for their 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. shifts at Cumberland Lodge on Friday, Nov. 19.
Cumberland Rotarians gathered to show their appreciation. For each of the staff rooms, dialysis unit, and pharmacy, Rotarians put together baskets of homemade cookies with gift cards provided by Cumberland Business Association members (Dark Side Chocolates, Waverly Hotel, Cooks, Biblio Taco and Ryders Pizza), which also included thank you cards made by children at Cumberland Community School.
This project is part of the initiative by every Rotary Club in the Comox Valley to show their appreciation for all workers at our hospitals and clinics working tirelessly to provide health services in clean, safe environments for all citizens in and around the Comox Valley.
