If you were driving past the Comox Valley RCMP detachment on Friday, Dec. 3, you may have seen Santa and one of his elves on the roof.

They weren’t dropping off gifts though. They were putting up Christmas lights.

Santa and his elf were hired by Coastline Property Service. The local family-run business hung the lights for free at the police station.

“After a tough year of COVID, we wanted to give back to our community and bring some Christmas cheer to the people that thanklessly protect our city,” said Darrin DeRosa, of Coastline Property Service.
