Based on the overwhelming response to the January discussion night on Jordan Peterson’s writing at St. George’s United Church, the church is hosting another open discussion night on Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m.

“Our first meeting on lecture one was attended by two dozen people from agnostics to Christians and many shades between,” said Reverend Ryan Slifka. “The conversation was so rich that we decided to have another, with the opportunity for more intimate conversation. While I don’t personally endorse most of Peterson’s views, the first Bible lecture created an immediate opportunity for people to talk about the things that matter most in life. Meaning, truth, ethics. It all quickly bubbles to the surface. Plus, it was interesting and fun.”

Peterson is a popular (and sometimes controversial) clinical psychologist and professor at the University of Toronto who has garnered millions of views for his lectures on the psychological meaning of the biblical stories. If you’re interested in attending, simply view/read/listen to lecture 2 at https://jordanbpeterson.com/transcripts/biblical-series-ii/ and come with one part of the lecture that grabbed you and we’ll talk about it. Feel free to invite any interested friends—heretics and heathens are equally welcome! For more information email Rev. Trevor Malkinson at trevormalk@hotmail.com.
