Courtenay Recreation has a full line-up of summer camp adventures in July and August for children and youth aged 6 to 13.
Featured camps starting July 4 include; Discovery Camp and Ready, Set, Summer Daycamp. Discovery Camp for 8 – 12 years is a weekly camp that offers daily swimming, outings, interactive games and beach exploration. Ready, Set, Summer for 9 – 13 years is a one week camp that takes adventures all over the Comox Valley and has an overnight at the Strathcona Park Lodge.
Mockingjay Daycamp, based on the popular Hunger Games Trilogy, starts July 25. This camp offers ultimate games, archery, survival skills and an overnight at Tribune Bay Outdoor Centre.
“Camps offer a fun, diverse combination of exciting activities, crafts and ultimate games, while making new friends” says Catriona Smith, summer programs coordinator. “On any given day our camps have activities like mini-Olympics, canoeing, water sports, caving and visiting local nature trails & beaches.”
