Courtenay resident Paul Gillmore and his son Matt travelled to the Fire Hall in Matanzas City, Cuba, on Friday 5th April 2019. This copy of The Comox Valley Record, along with a Canadian Flag, hand tools, and a Comox Fire Hall coin medallion and shoulder flash, were all presented to Cuban officials on behalf of the Comox Fire Rescue, Comox BC. The items were well received and placed on view in the Matanzas Fire Fighters Museum immediately.
