Stuart Clark took this amazing photo of a great horned owlet on a recent visit to Comox. The Campbell River photographer calls this photo ‘Hide & Seek.’

“At birth, these owls weight in at only 35 grams (1 1/4 ounces) but will gain almost their birth weight every day for about the first month,” Clark said on his Facebook page. “By one month, a male will weigh around 800 grams (1 3/4 pounds) and the female at 1 kg (2.2 pounds).”
