Cowboys Trails 'n 4-H Tales kicks off at Comox Valley Exhibition on Aug. 26.

Running from Friday to Sunday afternoon, the 137-year-old fair has something for everyone.

Whether you want to chow down on a yummy pancake breakfast, listen to back-to-back musical performances, check out the prize sheep or admire the Strongman Competition, you will find lots to do for the whole family.

The theme of this year's exhibition, Cowboy Trails 'n 4-H Tales, celebrates Comox Valley farmers and local agriculture youth.

The exhibition kicks off every year with one purpose: to educate and entertain people about agriculture within the Comox Valley and the broader community, including 4-H Clubs. The exhibition celebrates local youth by hosting 4-H Achievement Day during the fair.

With three days of family-oriented entertainment and activities, there is a huge amount of organization and planning that goes into putting on the exhibition. While the board of the Comox Valley Exhibition Society works year round to deliver this event, many more volunteers are needed during the actual days of the fair.

If you are looking for a new and interesting volunteer experience and have a few hours to give for the fair, contact Therese at the CVEx office at 250-338-8177.
