The “Music and Desserts” event begins at 3 p.m.. Come and enjoy some delicious desserts and listen to music performed by the “Rejoice Ensemble”. Tickets are $20 and are available at Laughing Oyster books, Blue Heron Books, or by calling 334-3385.

The Fifth Street Refugee Sponsorship Group recently held a sale of used books and scarves. The event was a huge success thanks to the many churches and individuals who donated books and scarves. The group is collecting more scarves and is planning to sell them at a Christmas Bazaar on Oct. 28 and at the Fiesta Faire in November.
