Culinary Team BC and the Junior Culinary Team Canada are coming to town for a competition practice event on Wednesday March 16.

They are preparing for the five-day ExpoGast International Gastronomy 2022 Culinary World Cup this November in Luxembourg. Following ExpoGast, they will next prepare for the Culinary World Olympics in 2024; the largest, oldest, and most colorful international culinary arts competition in the world to be held in Stuttgart Germany.

Locals Restaurant is hosting the teams as they prepare to compete in these prestigious international events and all proceeds from ticket sales for the event will support the teams. Wines from Mission Hill Winery will be showcased for the evening.

The teams are managed by Chef Felicella, who leads his teams with a strong foundation of knowledge, creativity and intuitive wisdom based on more than 35 years of experience in the culinary arts. Behind the team are numerous volunteers, including managers, coaches, support members as well as alternatives.

Many of Canada’s top chefs have taken advantage of this once in a lifetime experience to learn new skills, make priceless connections and put Canada on the top tier of the world culinary scene. Many members of the junior team were able to move up to compete on the world stage as members of Culinary Team Canada as well as representing Canada as competitors at the coveted Bocuse D’or competitions.

Call Locals Restaurant to reserve your spot for this rare event 250-338-6493. The price is $110 per person and includes wine, taxes and gratuities.
