Corwin Fox is set to play The Abbey Studio on May 27.

Come join Corwin Fox May 27 for a beautiful acoustic show and celebrate the release of his latest album Mememe at The Abbey Studio (2689 Penrith Ave.) in Cumberland.

Fox is a Canadian songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who has been hailed as “a shining light in Canadian roots music” by Doug Cox (artistic director, Vancouver Island Music Festival).

Having toured extensively across Canada, the U.S. and Australia since 1995, Fox has been spending an increasing amount of time recording and producing other artists across a wide range of genres.

He still plays concerts and festivals performing his songs on banjo, guitar and ukulele, and he teaches songwriting to youth each summer, but the studio has really become his focus since he founded the Corwin Fox Academy of Perpetual Excellence.

Over the years he has played venues large and small, some by himself and some with his other projects such as Morlove or The Chimney Swallows.

Fox continues to write, record and tour, although he is quite content that the bulk of his time is now spent in his studio or hanging out with his kids and making soup.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m.; doors at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance at http://mememecumberland.bpt.me or $20 at the door.
